An owner can give an AI client read-only access, with a daily budget.
Issue a token and an AI client can read the owner portal. It cannot change anything, and it stops once it has spent its budget for the day.
If you want to ask an AI client about your own portal, you can now give it a token to read the portal directly rather than pasting screenshots into it. The token is issued from the Control Room and can be revoked from the same place.
What the token cannot do
The access is read-only. A token holds no ability to:
- create a studio, or rename one
- send mail
- change any setting
A request to do any of those is refused, whatever the client asks for. Read-only is enforced on the server, so it does not depend on the client behaving.
The daily budget
Every token has its own daily budget. The default is $0.50 AUD per day. When the token has spent that, it stops answering until the budget resets, and the reset happens at midnight Sydney time.
An AI client left in a loop can make a great many requests without anyone noticing until the bill arrives. A budget per token means the worst case is fifty cents and a token that has gone quiet, rather than an open-ended cost overnight.
What you have to do
Nothing, unless you want it. No token exists until you issue one, and nothing about the portal changes until you do.
